Another SINTON has joined the project - a descendant of John SINTON of Southdean (married Alison HALL).

Patriarchs page updated to include a line of SINTONS from Duns:

William SINTON/Isabel DUNLOP of; Edinburgh
John SINTON/Ann THOMSON of Partick
James SINTON/Augusta McNAUGHTON of Kent
Thomas SINTON/Lily WIGHT
and assorted other places.
Representatives of this line would be most welcome to expand our knowledge of the SINTON DNA.

New pedigree added

Added pedigree for the family of William (married Isabella SCOTT) in the hope it may attract a descendant to participate.
William and Isabella were mainly Jedburgh based, with a large number of descendants in New Zealand.

24th: 37 marker results in for 2nd kit

Second kit 25 and 37 marker results posted. 24/25 and 36/37 marker matches between the Southdean SINTON descendants of the two brothers.
In the wider FT DNA database there is a 35/37 match with an ALEXANDER surname which may or may not be of some later interest.

2nd kit preliminary results in - with expected match

Second kit 12/37 marker results available.
Thankfully shows the expected match with the first kit, their respective ancestors being Peter and James, sons of Peter and Janet (DONALDSON) SINTON of Southdean.
Still no surname matches outside the project.
